The Last Cinema

Kajetan Pochylski

This film was made because I wanted to present an interesting, and maybe even unusual, story of my family. Grandma's story showed that my grandfather ran the last educational cinema in Poland. This information was intentionally not checked. I decided to take my grandma's word. The old grandfather Elew 16 mm projector inspired me to create this film. My grandmother Krystyna appears in the film and talks about cinema, grandfather and life. The narrator in this story is my son Tymon, and my father Witold plays the role of grandfather Jerzy. The story is very personal to me, and the selection of people appearing in the film clearly emphasizes this. The generations presented in the film refer to the technique of film making on the principle of "old and new"
