“Covet” is a conceptual short animated film. Following it’s protagonist the Vessel, a personification of the human soul, as it explores the vastness of the Desert.
In the animation, the rabbit represents our desires and goals. Its back and bones are exposed and vulnerable, and its fur is golden and tempting. Similar to how rabbits reproduce quickly, people are always looking for something in life that will give them satisfaction. Desires always seem better until they are fulfilled. Another association I had with the rabbit was the rabbit’s foot, which is used as a symbol of luck. With a little luck, all the right opportunities can reach us.
